“6 months is not enough”: French influencer gets jail time for stabbing strangers with a syringe for views
A TikTok prankster is facing some serious consequences for his actions after being handed down a jail sentence for a prank in which he stabbed strangers with a syringe. Amine Mojito, known online as Ilan M, was arrested in June after sharing video clips in which he snuck up on random people outside and stuck them with what was reportedly an empty syringe.
On Oct. 3, 2025, Mojito was sentenced to 12 months in jail for “violence with a weapon that did not result in incapacity for work,” six of which are suspended. He’ll also be fined €1,500 and prohibited from owning or carrying a weapon for three years.
Some members of the public still don’t feel that the sentence he received is strong enough.

ICE pepper-sprayed a protester in a frog costume. Now the “Portland Frog” is a symbol of absurd resistance
An unlikely hero has emerged from amidst the ICE protests in Portland, Oregon—a frog. President Donald Trump has continued his attempts to paint Portland as a crime-ridden “never-ending disaster,” due in part to the protests taking place at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) building.
Reports on the ground from both protestors and journalists have portrayed the protests themselves as generally peaceful and civil—until conservative livestreamers try to agitate crowds and federal agents start attacking protestors.
