“Do not jump in them!”: Olympians keep winning medals—and then watching them break. Why?
The 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina are well underway, but some winners have already found themselves unwittingly engaged in a new sort of game—finding out whose medals aren’t going to break.
Multiple Olympians have reported that their medals have become detached from their ribbons in the short time they’ve had them. Jutta Leerdam, a Dutch speed skater who won gold and broke an Olympic record in the women’s 1000m on Monday, actually captured the moment her medal broke on video.
“Insanely embarrassing”: Woman stages Bad Bunny “protest” from the nosebleeds…at the Super Bowl
A MAGA influencer attempted to stage a political protest during the Super Bowl halftime show...without ever leaving her seat. Instead, she lost thousands of followers within minutes.
During the big game, Puerto Rican musician Bad Bunny delivered a halftime performance centered on Latin American culture, unity, and love amid extreme political division. Not everyone, however, was happy with the NFL’s choice of performer despite Puerto Rico being a U.S. territory.
“21 souls in one meal is crazy”: Florida man makes iguana tacos as cold-stunned reptiles fall from trees
TikToker Gray Davis recently made waves with a series of videos highlighting the way it’s “raining iguanas” in Florida, thanks to the cold weather. “Since iguanas are cold-blooded and sleep up in the trees, when they get too cold, they no longer can hang on, and they end up falling to the ground,” he explained, showing various lifeless-looking reptiles.
However, green iguanas are considered invasive to Florida, and because of the weather, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) temporarily allowed residents to remove and dispose of cold-stunned iguanas without a permit.
