⚡️ Today in Internet Culture
“Cringe”: Halo fans are clowning the White House over its Trump-as-Master-Chief post
Gamers dragged the White House after it posted an AI-generated image of President Donald Trump dressed as Halo’s Master Chief. The picture, which showed Trump in green armor standing before the White House, included a U.S. flag that was missing ten stars. Both political camps laughed at the bizarre post, but Halo fans were especially brutal.
Master Chief is Halo’s iconic protagonist, a genetically enhanced supersoldier fighting to defend humanity from alien threats. Because of that, many players found the comparison to Trump confusing and even offensive.
“The kids hated it”: Parents have co-opted the “6-7” meme with cheap, easy Halloween costumes
It may seem that the phrase “6-7” is taking over every conversation with the kids in adults’ lives, from home to the classroom. Now, it’s coming for Halloween too—in the form of costumes.
This Halloween, parents are turning the trend into a costume. The concept is simple: take any matching sweatshirts or T-shirts, add the numbers 6 and 7, and you’re done. Some are buying pre-made versions on Etsy, while others are getting creative with fabric paint and iron-on numbers.
“That’s a dry spot”: Game repair man says all PS5 consoles that come in for slow performance have one issue in common
A TikTok creator who repairs consoles for a living claimed that nearly every PlayStation 5 he fixes has the same problem, and it all comes down to how people set it up.
In a recent video, The Board Repair Guy showed the inside of a PlayStation 5 while explaining why owners should stop standing their systems upright. According to him, most of the consoles that come in for slow performance or overheating share one key issue.

🔥 Hot on the Dot
This was the most-read story on the Daily Dot yesterday:

That 40 star flag is no mistake. It’s probably representative of Trump's fantasy to have red states gobble up the blue states, thus reducing the number of states to 40, and dealing with that little “gnat” sitting on his shoulder, liberalism, which he talked about in a speech to the military recently.
